This course adopts PBL (Problem-Based Learning) and PJBL (Project-Based Learning) as classroom teaching strategies, focusing on three core themes: Marine and Land Interaction, Marine Geology, and Marine Biology, to build students' foundational knowledge concepts. Through problem-based scenarios, students are guided to explore topics such as the economic dynamics of maritime trade routes, the interdependence between geological exploration and offshore wind power, and the conservation and economic value of marine biodiversity. Using peer learning in group discussions, students choose a focal topic of interest, deliver classroom presentations, share insights, and engage in questioning, fostering their skills in oral communication and critical thinking. The course concludes with a Sustainability and Cross-Disciplinary Learning Workshop, integrating interdisciplinary knowledge to demonstrate cross-domain competencies. Ultimately, students gain a deeper understanding of the applications of marine resources while cultivating values aligned with sustainable development.
