This course is grounded in the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), exploring the relationship between social progress, environmental protection, economic growth, and sustainable development.
- Students are guided to examine the significance and purpose of the SDGs through discussions on key international initiatives.
- By connecting with local issues and industries, students start from a local perspective to deeply analyze how the SDGs can be implemented in Taiwan and their impact on Taiwanese society and the environment.
- The course incorporates local issue exploration and advocacy project design, encouraging students to transform the concepts and goals of sustainable development into actionable steps. Through cross-disciplinary thinking, they investigate future solutions for local challenges.
- Students are introduced to the core principles of "sustainable development," equipping them to concretely apply the concept of "Think Globally, Act Locally" and fostering their awareness as global citizens committed to practical sustainability.
